外国人学汉语时亲戚称呼往往让他们头痛不已，那英语中的七大姑八大姨都该怎么称呼呢？赶快听Jenny和Adam来聊一聊。
One big family: 一大家子人
Relatives常用来称呼比较远的亲戚
Family/family members称呼直系亲属
Immediate 1 family: 直系亲属, 比如父母、孩子
Extended family: 旁系亲属，比如叔叔阿姨
Kin 2: 亲属，但这个词口语里很少用，多用于法律文件。
Immediate family:直系亲属
Parents: 父母
Folks: 老爸老妈（口语）
Old man: 老爸
注意: old lady 是指老婆，不是老妈哦。
小舅子、小姨子...英语怎么说？
姻亲英语表达很简单，用公式：称呼+in-laws
In-laws: 如果单独用in-laws就是岳父母/公婆
Mother-in-law/father-in-law: 岳父母/公婆
Brother-in-law: 姐夫/妹夫/小舅子……
Sister-in-law: 大姨姐/小姨子/小姑子……
七大姑八大姨 各种亲戚英语怎么说
都叫grandparents, 外国人怎么分爷爷奶奶和外公外婆？
Grandparents: 爷爷奶奶/外公外婆
Great grandparents: 曾祖父母/曾外祖父母
Grandpa/grandma: 爷爷外公/奶奶外婆
Granny: 奶奶外婆（口语）
如果一定要分清是爷爷还是外公，可以这么说：
Father's side/mother's side: 爸爸那边的，妈妈那边的
Paternal 3: 爸爸那边的
Maternal 4: 妈妈那边的
日常生活中其实都不会这样说，一般会用grandpa+名字，这样就分清啦。
Siblings 5: 兄弟姐妹
Brothers/sisters: 兄弟/姐妹
英语中用siblings一般都只有血缘关系的兄弟姐妹：
Blood relatives: 血亲
如果是没有血缘关系的哥们姐们，可以用：bro
He is like my brother, but we are not related.
他就像我的兄弟，但是我们不是亲戚。
Extended family: 旁系亲属
英语中叔叔辈的亲属只有两个词：
Uncle: 叔叔伯伯舅舅……
Auntie: 大姨姑姑……
那怎么区分呢？
中文用大阿姨、小姑姑……英语用名字：
Uncle + name: Uncle Adam
Auntie + name: Auntie Julia
还有一个和中国很不一样的地方，国外常叫阿姨叔叔伯伯名字，这样并没有不礼貌。
堂/表兄弟姐妹英语也很简单，只有一个词:
Cousin
Second cousin: 各房的堂表兄弟姐妹
你的侄女/侄子/外甥/外甥女也很简单：
Niece: 侄女/外甥女
Nephew: 侄子/外甥
adj.立即的；直接的，最接近的；紧靠的

- I was brought up by my paternal aunt.我是姑姑扶养大的。
- My father wrote me a letter full of his paternal love for me.我父亲给我写了一封充满父爱的信。
adj.母亲的，母亲般的，母系的，母方的
- He is my maternal uncle.他是我舅舅。
- The sight of the hopeless little boy aroused her maternal instincts.那个绝望的小男孩的模样唤起了她的母性。
