军争篇 NO.6：
故用兵之法，高陵勿向，背丘勿逆，
佯北勿从，
锐卒勿攻，
饵兵勿食，
归师勿遏，
围师必阙，
穷寇勿迫，此用兵之法也。
这句啥意思：
所以，用兵的原则是：对占据高地、背倚丘陵之敌，不要作正面仰攻；
对于假装败逃之敌，不要跟踪追击；
敌人的精锐部队不要强攻；
敌人的诱饵之兵，不要贪食；
对正在向本土撤退的部队不要去阻截；
对被包围的敌军，要预留缺口；
对于陷入绝境的敌人，不要过分逼迫，这些都是用兵的基本原则。
英文这么说：
It is a military axiom not to advance uphill against the enemy, nor to oppose him when he comes downhill.
Do not pursue an enemy who simulates flight;
Do not attack soldiers whose temper is keen.
Do not swallow bait offered by the enemy.
Do not interfere 1 with an army that is returning home.
When you surround an army, leave an outlet 2 free.
Do not press a desperate foe 3 too hard. Such is the art of warfare 4.
白话解释
首先，站在高出有更好的视野。能更好的了解敌人的动向。就像在高地上和高地下的视野是不同的。同样，在作战时处于高地的一方有能量的优势，防守时敌人要费劲爬上来。进攻时冲下去既快又省体力。而且高地还能发挥火器的优势，枪支，火炮的射程都能增加。手榴弹都扔的更远了，还不怕滚回来。
