故知胜有五：知可以战与不可以战者胜，识众寡之用者胜，上下同欲者胜，以虞待不虞者胜，将能而君不御者胜。
此五者，知胜之道也。
这句啥意思：
所以，预见胜利有五个方面：能准确判断仗能打或不能打的，胜；知道根据敌我双方兵力的多少采取对策者，胜；全国上下，全军上下，意愿一致、同心协力的，胜；以有充分准备来对付毫无准备的，胜；主将精通军事、精于权变，君主又不加干预的，胜。
以上就是预见胜利的方法。
英文这么说：
Thus we may know that there are five essentials for victory: He will win who knows when to fight and when not to fight. He will win who knows how to handle both superior and inferior forces. He will win whose army is animated 1 by the same spirit throughout all its ranks. He will win who, prepared himself, waits to take the enemy unprepared. He will win who has military capacity and is not interfered 2 with by the sovereign.
The above is method to foresee victory.
《网友谋攻篇解析》
孙子兵法的思路是谋全局，全局大于一隅，如对用兵之法的全国、破国、全军、破军、全旅、破旅...，对伐谋、伐交、伐兵、破城的评鉴，因为越是评价高的越是减少我方的损失，而达到战胜对方的目的。孙子兵法的盯住得是用兵的目的，从始至终都在算经济账，为什么不沾屈人之兵是善之善？后面就是对久攻不下的恐怖景象进行的相关描述。
