兵势篇 NO.2：
凡战者，以正合，以奇胜。
故善出奇者，无穷如天地，不竭如江海。
终而复始，日月是也。死而更生，四时是也。
声不过五，五声之变，不可胜听也；
色不过五，五色之变，不可胜观
味不过五，五味之变，不可胜尝也。
战势不过奇正，奇正之变，不可胜穷也。
奇正相生，如循环之无端，孰能穷之哉！
这句啥意思：
大凡作战，都是以正兵作正面交战，而用奇兵去出奇制胜。
善于运用奇兵的人，其战法的变化就象天地运行一样无穷无尽，象江海一样永不枯竭。
象日月运行一样，终而复始；与四季更迭一样，去而复来。
宫、商、角、徵、羽不过五音，然而五音的组合变化，永远也听不完；
红、黄、蓝、白、黑不过五色，但五种色调的组合变化，永远看不完；
酸、甜、苦、辣、咸不过五味，而五种味道的组合变化，永远也尝不完。
战争中军事实力的运用不过“奇”、“正”两种，而“奇”、“正”的组合变化，永远无穷无尽。
奇正相生、相互转化，就好比圆环旋绕，无始无终，谁能穷尽呢。
英文这么说：
In all fighting, the direct method may be used for joining battle, but indirect methods will be needed in order to secure victory.
Indirect tactics, efficiently 1 applied 2, are inexhaustible as Heaven and Earth, unending as the flow of rivers and streams;
like the sun and moon, they end but to begin anew;like the four seasons, they pass away to return once more.
There are not more than five musical notes,yet the combinations of these five give rise to more melodies than can ever be heard.
There are not more than five primary colors(blue, yellow, red, white, and black), yet in combination they produce more hues 3 than can ever been seen.
There are not more than five cardinal 4 tastes (sour, acrid 5, salt, sweet, bitter), yet combinations of them yield more flavors than can ever be tasted.
In battle, there are not more than two methods of attack--the direct and the indirect; yet these two in combination give rise to an endless series of maneuvers 6.
The direct and the indirect lead on to each other in turn.It is like moving in a circle--you never come to an end.Who can exhaust the possibilities of their combination?
《古代对声、色、味的理解》
中国古人对“声”，“色”，“味”的基本要素的理解，与我们现在不同。
五声——宫、商、角、徵、羽五个音阶
五色——青、黄、赤、白、黑五个色素
五味——酸、咸、辛、苦、甘五种味道。
1 efficiently

- Where maple trees grow, the leaves are often several brilliant hues of red. 在枫树生长的地方，枫叶常常呈现出数种光彩夺目的红色。
4 cardinal
n.(天主教的)红衣主教；adj.首要的，基本的
- This is a matter of cardinal significance.这是非常重要的事。
- The Cardinal coloured with vexation. 红衣主教感到恼火，脸涨得通红。
