Glad to see you, little bird; 小鸟，很高兴见到你，
Twas your little chirp 1 I heard: 我听到你小声唧唧叫。
What did you intend to say? 你想说些什么？

That I will, and plenty, too; 我愿意为你备好足够食物，
All the crumbs 2 I saved for you. 为你保存所有面包屑。
Don't be frightened — here's a treat: 不要害怕，是我请客，

Shocking tales I hear of you; 我听说很多你的可怕传言，
