OUT FOR A PICNIC
laurance--Just look!The day has dawned lovely!
soony--It certainly looks clear--good day for a picnic.
laurance--I was thinking the same thing.
soony--Well,how about it then?
laurance--Okay by me.How soon do you want to leave?
soony--Say...in an hour.
laurance--Make it an hour and a half.We have to take time
to get some more food,and besides that I'd like
to invite Nancy and Jim.
soony--Fine.While you're getting things ready in the
house,I'll go pack the car.
注解
1）dawn：（天）破晓。lovely在句中是起补足语的作用
2）clear：（天气）晴朗的。
3）picnic：野餐。
4）Say=shall we say：通常是来提建议征求对方意见。
5）make it：（固定短语）用以约定时间。如：
----When shall we meet this afternoon?
----Well, let's make it four o'clock.Is that OK?
6）pack the car：把物品装入车内。
