M: We already have customer confidence in the product.

F: to do online transactions, you need to link up with a financial institution.
M: like a bank or investment bank?
F: right, they are the intermediaries between you and your customers’money.
M: We’ll use the same one that issued our store credit cards.
F: That will help with the trust factor.
M: We’ll have to pay a fee , I suppose.
F: There is a standard fee schedule (价目表)for E-commerce transactions.
M: part of the price(代价) of doing business.
Q: What is necessary to do online transaction?
A: a financial institution.

F: you also need financial softeware.
M: off the shelf or custom-made?
F: off the shelf, if you have customized software, you may not have interoperability(互用性)
M: you mean I may not be able to share financial information easily?
F: exactly, the financial data has to be shared with your financial institution.
M: and what about encryption methods?
F: generally, most companies are going with one or two types of encryption.
M: Ok, I’ll check into (look into) the off the shelf encrytion method.

A: off the shelf software.
