3. Twitter is cutting about 9% of its employees worldwide and killing 4 off Vine, its mobile app where people share short video clips. Twitter has failed to keep pace with rivals Facebook, Snapshot and Instagram in recent months.
4. And the National Weather Service says snow began following Thursday in parts of Connecticut and is expected in Massachusetts as well. Commuters shouldn't worry, however the first snow of the season isn't expect to accumulate, because the ground is too warm.
