#1.大家最熟悉的chicken
Chicken is the most general, common word: chicken是最大众化、最通用的词
Too general: 太常用、太家常了
比如
KFC (Kentucky fried chicken): 肯德基
Poultry 2: 家禽类
Chicken is what you eat: 食用肉鸡
Chicken也是胆小鬼
"Chicken" also means a coward: chicken俚语的意思是胆小鬼
比如：
You're such a chicken! 你这个胆小鬼！
I wanted to ask her out, but I chickened out. 我本来想约她出去，但是退缩了。
鸡年不是chicken year!
＃2.Rooster是雄赳赳、气昂昂的大公鸡！
Rooster is the male chicken: rooster是大公鸡
Alpha male: 大男人
Proud, stately: 骄傲、有气场
最常用的两处：
1) The year of the rooster: 鸡年
2) The shape of China on a map is like a rooster: 中国的版图像一只大公鸡
说到公鸡，还有一个词，大家最好避免使用:
Cock: 公鸡。但它还有另一层意思，不太雅观，所以这个词最好别用
但是换成形容词，倒是可以用：
Cocky: 骄傲自大的
说完公鸡，说母鸡
#3. Hen: 母鸡
Hen: 母鸡
Old mother hen: 老母鸡
Old hen: 唠叨的妈妈，但也是不尊重的说法，避免使用
注意，老母鸡汤不是hen soup!
Chicken soup就行了
中外鸡汤区别大！
外国鸡汤多用切丁鸡胸肉(diced chicken breast meat), 外加蔬菜丁、意面。

Either way, both are comfort food: 不管中的西的，都是熟悉的妈妈味道

Chick is baby chicken: chick是小鸡
还有一个意思是
Chick: 妞儿、妹，但是不太尊重女性，最好避免使用
春节到，春暖大地
来只spring chicken
Spring chicken: 春鸡、童子鸡
Roasted spring chicken: 烤童子鸡
还能用来形容人
I'm no spring chicken: 我老啦
Someone is no spring chicken: 某人年纪不小啦
＊注意：这个俚语都是用在否定语气的＊

- The boy bent curiously to the skeleton of the buck.这个男孩好奇地弯下身去看鹿的骸骨。
