全面进入三伏天，大家是不是也闷热难忍呢？光一个"hot"真是无法表达那种又闷又热的天气；今天，我们就帮你扩充词汇，学习除了"hot"以外更多的英语表达方式！
关键词：
“桑拿天”怎么说？
中文说“桑拿天”、“大火炉”，英语也会用同样的概念！不过注意，它们在英语里一般只用来形容室内闷热，而不是室外的天气。
形容室内闷热，记住“桑拿”和“烤箱”：
It's an oven in here/ It feels like an oven inside: 这里简直是个大烤箱 (形容室内)
It's like a sauna in here: 热的跟桑拿房一样 (形容室内)
可以说Shanghai is an oven吗？外国人听了能理解，但这并不是标准的英语说法
可以说sauna weather吗？同上
大热天，还要学会的几个词
看完了sauna, oven形容室内，室外闷热怎么说呢？
It's muggy 1 outside/ It's a muggy day: 天太闷了
It's a scorcher out there: 外面太阳热辣辣的 (形容室外)
It's boiling out there: 天热得跟水煮沸了一样
这三个表达方式都是美国人最常用、最爱用的。不跟美国人聊天，很难学到呢！大家快点记下来、用起来！
具体解释一下：
Muggy=闷热、潮湿：It can get really humid: 很潮湿
To scorch 2 is to to use fire to destroy: “scorch”的意思就是用火烤烤焦了
注意注意：
用这些表达方式的时候，“out there” and “in here” 这些后缀千万不能少！
You can't leave out “out there”,“in here” with these expressions: 不能漏掉“out there” and “in here” 这些词

怎么形容你很热？
说完室内、室外，说到自己很热，我们要再换一组词
I'm sweating buckets: 我的汗一桶一桶流
I'm sweating my butt 3 off: 热死我了 (注意不要在正式场合用这个表达方式，毕竟用到了“butt"屁股这个词)
但这个说法太实用了，而且用途非常广泛，所以还是给大家举几个例子：
I'm freezing my butt off: 冻死我了
I'm working my butt off: 我拼死拼活努力工作
美国报气象，年薪8百万美元！
美国电视台，常会在天气预报上做文章。很多cable TV(有线电视台)用辣妹做播报员吸引眼球。而大一点的电视台则会把天气播报员也打造成一个品牌。比如上图的NBC气象播报员Al Roker, 几十年如一日晨间报气象，成了美国家喻户晓的人物，而且年薪8百万美金！
他报气象时每天都说的一句话就是：
"Here's a look at what's happening in your neck of the woods": 大家看一下，你那边儿的天气情况如何
Neck of the woods: 一片地区
adj.闷热的；adv.（天气）闷热而潮湿地；n.（天气）闷热而潮湿
- We may expect muggy weather when the rainy season begins.雨季开始时，我们预料有闷热的天气。
- It was muggy and overcast.天气闷热潮湿，而且天色阴沉。
v.烧焦，烤焦；高速疾驶；n.烧焦处，焦痕
- I could not wash away the mark of the scorch.我洗不掉这焦痕。
- This material will scorch easily if it is too near the fire.这种材料如果太靠近炉火很容易烤焦。
