“聪明，聪颖，聪慧……”，和汉语一样，英语的“聪明”也不止“smart”，今天Jenny和Connor要来讨论不同角度的聪明英语怎么说。
关键词：
#1.Clever & Smart: 聪明
这两个词都是表示“聪明”的常见词。
Clever:
美式英语里, clever有时指狡猾、小聪明；
英式英语里，clever基本上都是褒义的。
Smart：用法很多，不止So smart, very smart:
A smart one: He is a smart one.
A smart cookie: kids, young people
Mr. smartie pants: teasing people, showing off, 自作聪明
另外，Smart也是“智能” ：
Smartphone: 智能手机
smart home: 智能家居
#2.Bright, Brilliant, Brainy：有脑子
Bright：always postive
Brilliant: way more than smart，非常聪明
Brainy：有脑子
怎么用：
I got this really bright student in my class. 我班里有个很聪明的学生。
That's a brilliant idea. 这个主意太机智了。
Brainy的词根是brain，从brain这个词衍生出很多用法：
A brainiac：有智慧的人
Got a lot of brains: 很有脑子
怎么用：
She has got a lot of brains. 她很有脑子。
注意：即使主语是单数，这个短语总是复数brains。
#3.Sharp: 机灵、反应快
Sharp：机智、反应快。与它相关的词有：
Quick-witted: 机智灵敏
Sharp-witted: 聪颖机智，反应快
Street-smart: 街头智慧（不是读书得来的智慧，而是生活教会的智慧）
Book-smart: 读书好、成绩好
怎么用：
He is quick-witted.
另外，英式英语中sharp常指穿着，而不是聪明。
You look sharp. 你今天打扮得真好看。

#4.Resourceful & street-smart：会想办法
Resourceful和street-smart比较像：很有资源，很会想办法。不一定是读书好的那种聪明。
和它相对的是Book-smart：从书本上得到的智慧。
怎么用：
We need a resourceful leader. 我们需要一个会解决问题的领导。
#5.Intelligent, intellectual: 有智慧、知识分子
Intelligent: 智慧，才智
IQ (intelligence quotient)：智商
Intellectual: 有很多知识，会思考，像知识分子那样的智慧。
Insightful: 洞察力很强，可以一语中的
怎么用：
Sherlock is insightful. 夏洛克非常有洞察力。
You're very intelligent. 你太有才智了（比smart程度高）。
#6.Genius：天才
最高级的聪明就是天才了。
怎么用：
可以做名词也可以做动词
Einstein is a genius. 爱因斯坦是个天才。
It's a genius idea. 这是个天才般的主意。
