梅雨季天天都下雨，英语中也有许多和雨有关的表达，Jenny和Tara带大家学一学雨季英语。
“梅雨天”英语叫：
Plum rain season: 梅雨季
Plum: 梅子
“大雨小雨”不是big or small
形容雨大、雨小，千万别用：
Big rain, small rain ?
而要用另一组形容词：
Heavy rain, light rain ?
还有一个习语：
Raining cats and dogs：倾盆大雨
但是这个说法比较老派、过时。
"大雨"英语怎么说？
除了比较正式的Heavy rain，口语里这些更常用！
1）Pour: 倾泻
Down pour (名词): It’s a down pour. 雨很大！
Pour (动词): It’s pouring outside. 外面下大雨！
2）Sheets: 成片的（雨丝都连成片了）倾盆大雨
The rain is coming down in sheets.
It's raining in sheets.
3）Torrential rain: 大暴雨
Torrential: 猛烈的，汹涌的
4）Storm: 暴风雨
这有一些更好记：
It’s raining non-stop: 雨下个不停
It’s raining 24/7：同上 （一周7天，一天24小时）
Crazy + adjective，常用来形容程度很深
It's crazy rainy: 雨好大
It's crazy wet: 同上
用英语形容雨大雨小
闷热潮湿真难受！
潮湿黏腻的天气，用这些形容词最恰当不过！
Gross weather
Yucky weather
Icky weather
都是“恶心，难受”的意思。
中雨、小雨、毛毛雨
小雨、毛毛雨，这两个说法最地道：
Drizzling 1 (动词) : 毛毛雨
Sprinkling (动词): 少量洒一点
怎么用？
It's drizzling/sprinkling outside: 有点小雨、毛毛雨。
还有shower这个词，除了“冲凉、淋浴”，还有下雨的意思：
Showers: 中雨
Light showers: 小雨、中雨之间
Scattered 2 showers: 阵雨

Automatic umbrella: 自动伞

Rain poncho 3: 雨披
poncho: 斗篷

你知道Take a rain check是什么意思吗？
英语口语里，有两个超级常用的表达，都和rain有关。
但是不一定要雨天才能用！
1.Take a rain check: postpone 4. 改期
Something came up, could we take a rain check? 我突然有事，我们能改期吗？
2.Rain or shine: no matter what. 无论如何
The party will go on rain or shine. 派对一定会举行，不管刮风下雨。
下蒙蒙细雨，下毛毛雨( drizzle的现在分词 )
- The rain has almost stopped, it's just drizzling now. 雨几乎停了，现在只是在下毛毛雨。
- It was drizzling, and miserably cold and damp. 外面下着毛毛细雨，天气又冷又湿，令人难受。
adj.分散的，稀疏的；散步的；疏疏落落的
- Gathering up his scattered papers,he pushed them into his case.他把散乱的文件收拾起来，塞进文件夹里。
n.斗篷，雨衣
- He yawned and curled his body down farther beneath the poncho.他打了个呵欠，把身子再蜷拢点儿，往雨披里缩了缩。
- The poncho is made of nylon.这雨披是用尼龙制造的。
