"Our time is short," one faint voice said; “我们的时间不多了，”一个微弱的声音说；
Today we've done our best on different sides: what matters now? 我们今天尽了全力，为了各自一方，现在这些还有什么意义？
Tomorrow we shall rest! 明天我们就将休息了！
Life lies behind. I might not care for only my own sake 1; 生命已逝，我在乎的不是我自己的生命；
But far away are other hearts, 可是远方的亲人啊，
That this day's work will break. 今天会让他们心碎。
Among New Hampshire's snowy hills, 新罕布什尔雪山村庄里，
There pray for me tonight, a woman, and a little girl with hair like golden light; 今晚有人会为我祷告，一个女人，和一个小女孩都长着金发。
