  Don't say “I'm a little uncomfortable”: 身体不舒服在英文里并不是”uncomfortable”
It's more about a feeling: “uncomfortable”更多形容感受For example, if I was sitting next to my ex-girlfriend for eight hours, I would be uncomfortable: 比如我跟我前女友坐在一起八小时,我会觉得很尴尬(uncomfortable)Awkward situations make people uncomfortable: 尴尬的场面会让人觉得“uncomfortable”
  身体不舒服,英语到底怎么说?
  平时有点小病小恙在所难免,所以类似“人不舒服”的表达很常用,英语口语中有各种不同的短语。因为“身体不适”意思一般没有什么出入,所以记忆的时候应该整句整句来记。常见的有以下几种:
I'm not feeling so good: 我不太舒服
  I don't feel great: 我今天状态不是很好
I'm not feeling very well: 我有点难受
I'm a little under the weather today: 我有点不舒服 (这是最口语的一种表达)Don't think too much about the grammar; they're common colloquial 1 expressions: 不要纠结语法,这些都是常见的口语表达Remember them as chunks 2: 把它们当成一个整体语块来记It's a handy phrase when you call in sick: 这个表达请病假的时候很好用After you've been watching all of those Olympics games, you can call you boss and say “I'm afraid I'm a little under the weather today”: 熬夜看欧洲杯奥运会,第二天可以跟老板用这句话请假To pull an all-nighter: 通宵熬夜
  具体的不舒服,用这个句式:My _____ hurt(s)“痛”、“疼”在英语里有很多单词,比如"pain","ache"以及"hurt"。
  表示身上某处疼,最常用的句式是“My _______ hurt(s).” 百搭句式,哪里疼说哪里!
My head/tooth/stomach/arm/leg hurts: 我头/牙齿/肚子/手臂/腿疼It applies to anything, literally 3, from head to toe: 这个句式很百搭,从头到脚哪儿不舒服,都可以用I've got a headache/ toothache/ stomachache: 我头疼/牙疼/肚子疼各种头疼脑热小病症
  外国人不说“拉肚子”
  外国人很避讳直接告诉别人自己拉肚子,他们会含糊地说:
  I have food poisoning: 我食物中毒了
  I ate something bad: 我吃坏肚子了
  所以也别直接跟外国人说拉肚子这档事儿。这个话题会让他们很不好意思, 很uncomfortable。
  diarrhea /,da??'ri?/: 拉肚子 (这个词太直接太具体,最好不要用)To throw up/to puke/to vomit 4: 吐,呕吐
That was slightly uncomfortable; let's bring it back to the comfort zone: 聊着聊着自己都觉得很尴尬,还是说比较大众化的话题吧“感冒”英语也有不同表达
日常最易发的感冒发烧,最常见的表达是:I'm coming down with_____I'm coming down with a fever: 我发烧了
I'm coming down with a cold: 我感冒了
  Coming down很形象,描述你快要倒下了,适合刚发病阶段用,也很适合请假时用。
The symptoms will all come out soon: 症状很快就要有了Flu is more severe than a cold: flu是流感,普通感冒是cold, 前者更严重To vomit: 呕吐
  "吃药"不是“eat medicine"
  英语里,吃药的动词不是"eat", 而是"take"。这也是国人最容易用错的动词之一,大家注意咯!
When you have a cold, you need to rest up and take medicine: 如果感冒了,就要好好休息、吃药drugstore: 药房
  别人生病了,怎么问候?
  如果朋友、同事身体不适,怎么用英语问候?
Get well soon/ We all hope you get well soon: 祝你能快点好起来Take it easy and rest up: 别太累了、好好休息Wish you a speedy recovery: 祝你早日康复 (书面语,而且一般比较严重的病才会这么说)Practice Time! 最后练习一下今天学到的
A: I'm coming down with a cold and I'd like to take the day off: 我感冒了,想今天请个假B: Take it easy and rest up: 别太累了,好好休息
