It was a very hot summer afternoon. The sun was shining brightly. A very tall and fat woman was walking along the street. She felt uneasy 1 because a schoolboy was following her closely 2. She began to walk faster, and the boy walk faster, too. At last the woman stopped. She turned round and looked at the boy.
夏天的一个炎热的下午，明亮的阳光普照大地。一个又高又胖的女人正沿着街道走着。她感到很别扭，因为一个小男孩正紧紧跟着她。她开始加快速度，可是男孩也加快了速度。最后，女人停下来，转过身去看着那个孩子。
"Tell me, sorry," she asked. "Why are you following me?"
“告诉我，小家伙，为什么总是跟着我？”她问道。
"Oh, sorry, madam," said the boy, "but it's a cooler walking in the shade behind you."
“哦，很抱歉，女士，”男孩说道，“因为在你身后的影子里走很凉快啊。”
