A timid little man ventured into a biker bar in the Bronx , and clearing his throat asked, “Um, err 1, which of you gentlemen owns the Doberman tied outside to the parking meter ?”
一个害羞的小个子男生，鼓起勇气走进布朗克斯区一家飙车族酒吧，清了清喉咙问道：“嗯，这个，绑在外面停车表那只德国短毛猎犬是谁的啊?”
A giant of a man, wearing biker leathers with his body hair growing out of the seams,turned slowly on his stool. He looked down at the quivering little man and said, “It’s my dog.
一个穿着摩托车皮衣、衣缝露出体毛的彪形大汉，从凳子上慢慢转过身，低头看着这个发抖的小个子男生说：“是我的狗，怎么样?”
“Well,” squeaked 2 the little man, very nervous, “I believe my dog just killed it, sir.”
“这个嘛，”小个子男生很紧张，尖声说道：“我想我的狗刚杀死了你的狗，先生。”
“What?”roared the big man in disbelief.“What in the hell kind of dog do you have?”
“什么?”大个子一脸难以置信的表情，大吼道：“你养的到底是什么狗啊?”
“Sir,” answered the little man. “It’s a 4-week-old puppy.”
“先生，小个子男人回答：”“是一只四周大的小狗。”
“Bull!” roared the biker. “How could your puppy kill my Doberman?”
“胡扯!”机车骑士大吼：“你的小狗怎么可能杀死我的短毛猎犬?”
“It appears that he choked on it, sir.”
“它好像是吃我的小狗时噎死了，先生。”
