谋杀之谜
Nancy had been hired to solve the murder case. A very rich woman had been killed in her bed. The butler said her husband was the only one who saw her that night. He and the two maids were sleeping downstairs.
南希被雇来解决一桩谋杀案。有名超级富婆在她床上被人杀了。男管家说她丈夫是哪天晚上唯一看过她的人，而他和另外两名女仆则在楼下睡觉。
Nancy investigated the dead woman's room. There were two fingerprints 1 and no sign of a murder weapon. It looked like the husband had done it. But where was he?
南希调查了死者的房间，那里既没有指纹也没有使用过什么谋杀凶器的征兆。看来真的是她丈夫干的。可是他人跑哪里去了？
A week later, Nancy got a call at work. Someone found the woman's husband dead in the river. He drove off the road before his wife's murder. So he couldn't have killed his wife. Who was the murderer 2?
一个礼拜后，南希工作时，接到了一通电话。有人发现那名死亡妇人的丈夫死在河里。他在他老婆被谋杀前一周就开车外出，所以不可能杀害自己的妻子。那谁才是凶手呢？
Nancy went back to where the woman was killed. The butler was there. He said, "Mrs. I just got a call from the husband confessing 3 the murder. He is too ashamed to come home." Nancy smiled and thanked the butler.
南希回到妇人被杀害的地方，男管家也在那里。他说：“女士，我刚接到她丈夫打电话承认说谋杀案是他做的，他因为太羞愧而不敢回家。”南希微笑着向男管家致谢。
That night the police came back and arrested the butler for murder. Why else would he say he got a call from a man who had been dead two weeks, if not to cover his own tracks?
那晚警方回来以谋杀罪名逮捕了男管家。如果他不是为了掩饰自己所犯的罪行，又何必谎称接到一个已经死了两个礼拜的人打来的电话呢？
