A drunk man
A man went to a bar, got really drunk and then walked home. The man fell down after every two steps he took. He continued walking and falling all the way to his house.
The next morning his wife said, "I know you were drinking last night." He asked, "How did you know?" She said, "You left your crutches 1 at the bar.

有一个男人去酒吧，喝得烂醉，然后走路回家。
美国有很多酒吧，人们喜欢在下班后去喝酒，美国法律规定21岁以下青少年不得进人酒吧，所以酒吧门口通常会挂有。“No Minors 2 Allowed”(未成年不得进入)的告示。

这个男人每走两步就摔一跤。
当take后接表示动作的名词时，take表示“做；采取”， 如：take a cxercise(做运动），take a rest(休息)等。

他继续跌跌撞撞地一路回到家。
continue后面若是接动名词（v. -ing) ,表示动作的持续性；若是接不定式（to + v),则表示断断续续或一种习惯性的行为。如：She continued to study English.她继续学英语。

第二天早上，他妻子说；”我知道你昨晚喝酒了。”
5. He asked, "How did you know?"
他问道：“你怎么知道的？”

有些人喜欢借酒精来暂时忘却烦恼，但常常也忘了不该忘的，所以在美国有的酒吧贴了一张告示，上面写着：If you're drinking to forget, please pay in advance.如果你喝酒是为了遗忘，请先付帐。
