讲解：词语盛行于19世纪以后，但却出自于15世纪-16世纪，海盗活动猖獗的时候。相传海盗面目狰狞，手持凶器，牙齿间还咬着一把把尖刀。为形象生动，汉语中把它翻译为“武装到牙齿”，喻指全副武装。
