[03:12.28]Listen to the passage and answer the following questions.

[03:18.22]One day an expert on the subject of time management

[03:24.55]was speaking to a group of business students and

[03:30.53]to stress a point, used an illustration 5 I'm sure those students will never forget

[03:38.23]After I share it with you, you'll never forget it either.

[03:44.21]As this man stood in front of the group of high-powered overachievers,

[03:50.54]he said, "Okay, time for a quiz 6

[03:56.12]Then he pulled out a large, wide-mouthed jar and set it on a table in front of him

[04:04.94]Then he produced about a dozen first-sized rocks and carefully placed them,

[04:12.43]one at a time, into the jar.

[04:16.86]When the jar was filled to the top and no more rocks would fit inside, he asked,

[04:24.28]"Is this jar full?"

[04:28.52]Everyone in the class said, "Yes."

[04:33.20]Then he said, "Really?"

[04:37.49]He reached under the table and pulled out a bag of little stones

[04:44.51]Then he dumped 7 some of them in and shook the jar causing the little

[04:51.53]stones to work themselves sown 8 into the spaces between the big rocks.

[04:58.26]Then he smiled and asked the group once more

[05:03.34]"Is the jar full?" by this time the class was onto him

[05:11.58]"Probably not," one of them answere "Good!" he replied

[05:58.74]Then he looked up at the class and asked, "What is the point of this illustration?"
