地道表达】nobody’s fool
解词释义：nobody通常是指“没有人”，fool在这里的意思是“受人愚弄或欺骗的人”。那么，nobody’s fool是指“谁也欺骗不了的人”，换句话说，就是指“精明，老练，明智，阅历丰富的人”。所以，对话中“My father is nobody’s fool.”的意思是“我的父亲是个精明能干的人”。这是赞美之词或者是一句恭维之语。Nobody’s fool还可以表示“别想玩弄我”的意思。例如：I am nobody’s fool. 我不会被任何人玩弄的。

解词释义：mand是“疯狂”的意思，mad money的字面意思是“疯狂的钱”，其实mad money是指“年轻女子跟男朋友一起出去玩的时候自己身上带的一些零花钱，万一她和男朋友生气了或是吵架了，那她至少还有叫出租车回家的钱”。所以，在美国俚语中mad money是指“（女子出门赴约时）自备的零花钱，备的急用钱”的意思。现在，mad money的含义已经扩大化了，除了上面的这个意思外，它还可以表示“一小部分准备在紧急时候用的钱”。其英文解释为： a sum of money kept for emergencies or minor 3 purchases。对话中，“It is lucky that I have my mand money.”的意思是“幸好我有些急用钱”。
