1. 解词释义
Shoestring作名词用，最初是指“鞋带”，后来引申出“小额资本，零星钱”的意思。例如：In the early years, the business was run on a shoestring.（早年，这家店是小本经营的。）使用它的时候， 有一个固定的搭配模式，就在对话中，也在例句中，即：on a shoestring，意思是“using very little money”，译为：资金微博地，小本经营地，（生活）拮据地。它也可以做形容词，是指“用钱极少的”。例如：The club exists on a shoestring budget. （这家俱乐部以一点点小钱艰难度日。）
