1. 解词释义
Pay a call的字面意思是“打完电话后付费”，引申为“拜访”的意思。有这样一种猜想：有了电话后，人们相互之间的联系方便多了，去别人家拜访前一般先得打个电话预约。打电话是要付费用的，所以人们就用“付电话费”来表示“去别人家拜访”。
