Struck by this plain matter-of-fact question, I answered, saying, Yes, I thought I did see four or five men; but it was too dim to be sure. 看见了，有四五个人吧！不过比较模糊。我耐心地回答了他。
Very dim, very dim, said Elijah. Morning to ye. 噢，很模糊，很模糊！好吧，早上好！
Once more we quitted him; but once more he came softly after us; and touching 2 my shoulder again, said, See if you can find 'em now, will ye? 我们加快了脚步，可他又跟了上来，低低地问： 试试看，你们还能看见他们的影子吗？
Find who? 什么影子！
Morning to ye! morning to ye! he rejoined, again moving off. 好啦，早上好，早上好！
