例子里的说法可能夸张了些, 不过年轻人当中可能就有不少会觉得没有手机是蛮落伍的事吧! 英文里的"with"有「一起」的意思。"get with it" 就就可以用来表示「跟上」(这里的 it 代表所指的事情)啰!
"cell phone" 是"cellular 1 telephone" 的简称。
