1. Secretary of State John Kerry says Tuesday resolution in the Mideast is the serious jeopardy 1. Kerry delivered the farewell speech Wednesday, outlined his proposal for peace between Israelis and Palestinians. He said expansion of Israel's settlements on the West Bank are diminishing the chance for peace.
2. Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu called Kerry's speech a great disappointment. In a news conference Wednesday night, he said Israel shouldn't be lectured by the U.S on peace. He says Israel is committed to resolving issues with Palestinians, but only through direct talks.
3. Dozens of residents in a Fraser,Michigan neighborhood have been evacuated 2 after a massive sinkhole opened up. The 100-foot wide area has caused homes to crack and buckle 3. Officials believed it has been caused by a broken sewer 4 line.
4. And New Yorkers are saying good Riddance to 2016. The city celebrated 5 its good Riddance Wednesday. People gathered in Time Square to discard their dislikes for the year and make public their wishes for the year ahead.
