1. President Barack Obama warned his successor republican Donald Trump 1 to take foreign influence of American election seriously once he takes office. His comments came during his last press conference of the year Friday. The president says he has confronted Russian president Vladimir Putin about hacking 2, telling him to cut it out but didn't offer any details about the extent of any U.S response.
2. United Nations secretary general Ban Ki Moon said the U.N has failed the people of Syria. Ban described the war in Syria as heartbreaking for him. Ban's term as U.N chief is officially up on January,1st.
3. Former senator and astronaut John Glenn lies in honor inside Ohio's statehouse rotunda 3. The public viewing is scheduled to last at least eight hours Friday, followed by processional and public memorial service Saturday at Ohio state university.
4. And Santa made a special and if not unusual stop at California Academy of Science in San Francisco. Santa took a dip into the Academy's coral reef aquarium 4 , with his famous red suit, diving bell and underwater microphone. The reef tank is one of the deepest exhibit of life corals in the world.
