My friends and I spent New Year's Eve at a resort in the mountains. When we arrived, we unloaded our bags and headed for the hill. I was so excited! What an adventure!
我朋友们和我除夕那天去山里的一个度假胜地游玩。我们到那边卸下旅行袋后，就往山坡出发。我好兴奋哦！真是很棒的一次冒险。
Although my friend's were veteran boarers this was my first time snowboarding. They suggested I take lessons, but I wanted to head straight for the black diamond.
虽然朋友们都是个中老手，但这却是我第一次玩滑雪板。他们本来建议我先上几堂课，但我想直接向难关挑战。
I disregarded their warning and joined them on the chairlift. When we reached the top, my friends took off down the hill.
我无视于他们的警告便和他们一起上了索道升降椅。抵达山顶后，我朋友们就开始一个一个滑下山去。
Meanwhile, I couldn't stand up on my snoeboard. After thirty minutes I finally managed to push off from the top of the hill.
这段时间我连澡滑雪板上站直都有困难，直到过了三十分钟，我才终于准备好从山顶出发。
Within seconds I was flying down the hill, the wind in my hair, the sun at my back. This is great, I thought. What a rush! But suddenly, my snowboard veered 1 off the slope and into the trees. I couldn't stop.
结果不到几秒时间，我就沿着山坡飞驰而下，风吹着头发、太阳晒着背的感觉真好！我心想，这实在太棒了，冲得好快啊！不过突然间，我的滑雪板却改变方向滑出斜坡往一堆树冲过去，而且我停不下来。
I hit a rock and I sailed into the air, landing head first. I cried for help until the ski patrol came to rescue me. An emergency vehicle brought me down the hill. I spent the rest of our vacation cooped up in the cabin.
我撞到一颗石头，然后飞到空中，头朝前跌在地上。我大声呼救，终于等到来救我的滑雪巡逻队，然后被紧急救援车辆给送下山。假期剩下的时间我都把自己关在小屋里。
