F: So Dement, Style plus has a well-defined(明确) market niche 1.
M: Yes,and their market is growing.
F:and you said they can not keep up with the demand.
M: That’s right, they are getting more orders than they can fill.
F: They are losing orders and losing money.
M: the detailers are going to other suppliers.
F: it’s the old problem, if you can’t fill an order, someone else can.
M:She said they have a solution to their production problem
F:What is it?
M:I’ll find out today what it is.

F: We are going to use computers.

F:The entire line, we need to keep machines running day and night.
M: What about your employees?
F: now , we have one employee per machine.
M: But with a computer-operated system…
F: With a computer-operated system, we’ll have one employee for ten machines.
Q: How will they increase production?
A: by using computers.

M: so your employees will no longer operate machines.
F: No , now they’ll operate computers.
M:I imagine(I suppose) they don’t know how to use computers.
F: No, they are not computer literate 5.
M:so What will you do with your employees?
F: That’s my question for you,what will I do with my workforce?
M: it seems you have two options.
F: retrain them or replace them ?
M: those are the options
F: It’s a difficult choice.
Q:what’s the problem with the workforce?
A: they aren’t computer literate.
