Monica: Losers walk!
Ross: Yeah, losers talk!
Monica and Ross are "trash talking," each other, which is the best and most fun part of any sport. Nothing is more pleasurable than watching your opponent lose and then making them feel bad about it.
Chandler: No, no, no, actually losers rhyme. Twenty-three! Seventy-four! You wanna go shotgun?
In this situation, Monica and Ross happen to rhyme by saying "walk," and "talk." And Chandler calls them both "losers," by saying "losers rhyme."
Chandler is shouting numbers out. Usually the numbers are secret signals to the entire team. This prevents the opponents from understanding what kind of strategy (play) you’re going to use. The humor here is that although Chandler is spending a lot of time shouting numbers, they don’t really mean anything. He simply asks Ross if he wants to run a "shotgun," play.
The shotgun play is a specific type of play in football where all of the receivers run as far as they can. They spread out from the quarterback (the thrower) like bullets from a shotgun.
Ross: Yeah!
Chandler: Hike!
This command begins the play.
Monica and Joey: One-Mississippi. Two-Mississippi. Three-Mississippi.
Adding "Mississippi" to the end of a number helps you to time it correctly. If I say "count to 3," then you will hear someone say "One-Mississippi. Two-Mississippi. Three-Mississippi. Go!"
Rachel: Over here! I almost caught that one!
Chandler: Great! Now, the score is 7 to almost 7.
Ross: Okay, this play, I want you to do a down and out to the right. Okay. Break!
"Down and out," as a football play means to run down the field and then cut to the left or to the right. This quick change in direction confuses the players who are chasing you. If done correctly, it should look like a capital L shape.
"Break," means to break from the huddle 1 and get into positions.
Rachel: Wait, what am I gonna do?
Ross: You, you go long.
"go long," is another football play, this means to just run down the field as fast and far as you can. This kind of play is usually very exciting when it connects correctly. But they’re just making Rachel do it so she get’s out of their way.
Rachel: Wait, how long?
Ross: Until we start to look very small.
