The death toll 1 from a strong earthquake that struck a popular tourist island in Indonesia has risen to 14, with more than 160 injured. The quake damaged more than 1,000 homes and was felt in nearby Bali.
An explosive wildfire in northern California has displaced about 50,000 people and burned near 300 homes. 5 people have been killed in what is now the largest fire burning in California.
And Russian President Vladimir Putin praised Russia's naval 2 officers at a Navy Day parade in St. Petersburg. Russia is commemorating 3 Navy Day with parades in several cities, the largest in St. Petersburg.
