　　LESSON 41 THE BOY THAT LIKED PLAY 第四十一课贪玩的孩子

　　One fine day in summer, a very little boy was sent to school by his mother. 在夏天的一个好天气里，一位妈妈把自己的小儿子送到了学校。
　　But she knew that he was fond of play, and so she told his sister to go with him. 妈妈知道小男孩很贪玩，所以妈妈就让姐姐陪着小男孩一起去学校。
　　It was very warm, and the boy said to his sister that it would be much nicer to play with him by the river-side, than go to school. 天气很暖和，于是小男孩对姐姐说我们在河边玩耍比去上学更开心。
　　"No, no," said she,"I have not time to play. "不行不行"姐姐说，"我木有时间来玩，
　　After I have seen you to school, I must go over all the town, to buy wool, and worsted, and needles, and a lot of other things, for mother. 在我看到你进了学校后，我还必须要走遍整个城镇为妈妈买毛线，精纺毛线，针和其他的好多东西。
　　She and I must work, and get money to buy food." 我和妈妈必须工作赚钱买吃的。
　　Then the boy saw a bee flying from flower to flower, and said, "I should like to be a bee, and have nothing to do,—no lessons or spelling to learn." 然后这个男孩就看见一只蜜蜂在花丛中飞舞，感慨道，"我好想成为一只蜜蜂，什么事情都不做，-----没有课程也不用学习拼写。
　　"Ah!"said his sister,"the bee is not idle 1, it is getting honey and wax 2, to lay up store for winter, when there will be no flowers." "啊"，姐姐惊讶的说道"蜜蜂并不清闲，因为冬天没有花朵，为了越冬储存足够的食物，
　　And the bee soon flew away to its hive with its honey and wax. 他们现在必须要采摘蜂蜜和蜂蜡。
　　In a little they heard a bird singing; and the boy said, I am sure the bird has nothing to do. 过了一会儿他们又听到一只小鸟在唱歌，小男孩说道，我确信小鸟无事可做。
　　I should like to stay here all day, under the trees, and hear its sweet song. 我好想整天待在这，在树底下，听着他的优美的歌声。
　　But his sister said, "See, the bird has flown down and picked up some bits of straw, and it is now taking them to its nest. 但是姐姐又说道"你看，鸟儿飞下来捡一些稻草，现在要带着稻草回鸟巢了。
　　It has to build a nest with straw and feathers and moss 3, and so it has no time to be idle." 他必须要用稻草，树叶和苔藓筑巢，他没有时间闲下来的。
