Russia has blamed the EU for the suspension of Ukraine’s preparations to sign the integration 1 pact 2. The speaker of the lower house of the Russian parliament says the EU has been sending special envoys 3 to Ukraine and putting unprecedented 4 pressure on Kiev.
"We have witnessed an unprecedented pressure on Ukraine from Western nations and institutions, including high-ranking EU officials attending not only the Ukrainian parliament sessions, but meetings of its committees and even working groups. EU officials demanded that conditions for EU integration be fulfilled. And they imposed deadlines, which were postponed 5 several times later," said Sergei Naryshkin, speaker of Russian parliament.
