We Don't Sell to Blondes
A blonde went to an appliance store.
“I would like to buy this TV,” she told the salesman.
“ Sorry, we don’t sell to blondes,” he replied.
She hurried home and dyed her hair, then came back and again told the salesman, “I would like to buy this TV.”
“ Sorry, we don’t sell to blondes,” he replied.
“Darn, he recognized me,” she thought. She went for a complete disguise this time, haircut and new color, new outfit, big sunglasses, then waited a few days before she again approached the salesman. “I would like to buy this TV.”
“ Sorry, we don’t sell to blondes,” he replied.
Frustrated, she exclaimed, “How do you know I’m a blonde?”
“Because,” he replied, “that’s a microwave.”

一个金发碧眼的女人走进一个家用电器商店。
“我想买这台电视，”她告诉售货员。
“抱歉，我们不卖给金发女郎。”他回答。
女人跑回家，染了头发，回来又对售货员说：“我想买这台电视。”
“抱歉，我们不卖给金发女郎。”他回答。
“见鬼，他认出我了。”她心想。这次她来了个全副武装，剪了新的发型还上了色，穿了套新衣服，戴上了大大的太阳镜，等了几天后，她又来找售货员。“我想要买这台电视。”

她很沮丧地喊道：“你怎么知道我是个金发女郎？”
“因为，”他回答，“那是个微波炉。”
【词汇讲解】
