英语课
Dialogue 1
Jingjing: Hey, Mark. My stomach's churning. Let's go grab 1 a bite to eat.
Mark: I'm down. Where do you feel like going?
Jingjing: Have you been to that new Italian restaurant down the street? I've been meaning to try it out.
Mark: Yeah, I have. It's horrible!
Jingjing: So you mean you wouldn't recommend it?
Mark: Not in a million years!
Jingjing: Well, what was so wrong with the place?
Mark: The food was a complete rip 2 off. I paid $34 for a hamburger and a side of fries. (On top of that, the food was cold and the service was lousy.)
Jingjing: Thanks for the info. I guess we'll have to try another place then. Come on, let's go take a walk and see what's new.
New words:

Dialogue 2
Mark and Jingjing are on their way back from a new restaurant they have just tried.
Jingjing: Wow! That was one of the best restaurants I've ever been to!
Mark: Tell me about it! My steak was cooked to perfection 3.
Jingjing: Yeah, and my tuna fish salad was made just right. I'll definitely 4 be going back again!
Mark: No doubt! I thought the prices were very reasonable.
Jingjing: I agree. The service was so good that I gave the waiter a pretty big tip.
Mark: You and me both! I gave him a 25% tip! It was well deserved 5!
Jingjing: Come on, let's go tell our friends about this great place!

Dialogue 3
Jingjing and Mark are walking farther 6 along the street after dinner.
Jingjing: You know, we still haven't found a good Italian restaurant in this neighborhood.
Mark: Well, there is one, but I found it to be rather pricey. Actually, that's it, just across the street. Wanna go over and take a look?
Jingjing: Sure. What a cute little place. Hey, there's a menu posted at the door. ...And the prices are not too bad.
Mark: Yeah, for each item, it's within reason. When I ate here, I had to order three main dishes, because each one is pretty small. You kinda have to go all out.
Jingjing: You mean just a pasta dish wouldn't be enough for one person?
Mark: Not even close. You'd feel embarrassed ordering so little, and nowhere near full afterward 7.
Jingjing: Hey, the tiramisu is about the same price as anywhere else.
Mark: I could go for that right now, and maybe an espresso.

go all out= 不惜血本,花光钱 spare no expense
例句:
They went all out on their wedding, with a motorcade of 8 identical 8 cars, a fireworks display, and at least 3 different dresses for the bride.
tiramisu =(甜点)提拉米苏
