Protest organisers say Sunday will be their "victory day," and are calling on followers to seize all state ministries, telecommunications agencies and other enterprises. Protest leader Suthep Thaugsuban told demonstrators Friday night that a group of protesters would seize the Prime Minister’s offices on Sunday.

Earlier in the day, protesters forced their way into the grounds of Thailand’s army headquarters, asking the military to support their increasingly aggressive campaign to topple the prime minister.

Another crowd of protesters staged a rally outside the headquarters of Yingluck’s Pheu Thai party, where hundreds of riot police stood guard to prevent them from entering.

Yingluck has repeated her call for negotiations 4 to solve the crisis. She has also ruled out an early election, saying the situation in Thailand is not calm enough for polls.
