"Look," said 1 Dexter. "That must be a new kid 2 in town."
“看，” 德克斯特说，“那一定是我们镇新来的孩子。”
"Why does she have a paper bag over her head?" said Fox.
“她干嘛在头上套个纸袋子？” 小狐说。
"Maybe she isn't very pretty," said Carmen.

"Maybe she is shy," said Dexter.
“也许她很害羞，” 德克斯特说。
"It isn't easy being 3 a new kid," said Fox.
“新来的真不容易啊，” 小狐说。
"True," said the others 4.

"Hello there!" called out Fox.
“嗨，你好！” 小狐喊道。
The new kid stopped. She turned around.
新来的孩子停下来，她转过身。
And just then a big wind blew away the paper bag.
正在这时一整大风刮过来，把她头上的纸袋吹走了。
