第八章 家里的谈话
On Sunday morning Mr. and Mrs. Arable 1 and Fern were sitting at breakfast in the kitchen.

Avery had finished and was upstairs looking for his slingshot.

"Did you know that Uncle Homer's goslings had hatched?" asked Fern.

"How many?" asked Mr. Arable.
“多少只？”阿拉布尔先生问道。
"Seven," replied Fern.
“七只，”弗恩回答，
"There were eight eggs but one egg didn't hatch
“蛋有八个，可其中一个没孵出小鹅来，
and the goose told Templeton she didn't want it any more, so he took it away."
