Whenever I go up or down 无论何时，或往或返，
Along the roadway into town, 在通往城镇的道路上，
I hear a busy whispering there 我总能听到絮絮的低语，
Among the trees high up in air. 在高耸入云的大树间传递。
It's clear to one who's not a fool 人若不愚就会知道，
That trees have never been at school; 那些树从未去过学校；
And if you ask me why I know 你若问我如何知道——
It is because they whisper so! 因为他们正这样低语相告！
