先来看今天的第一个句子：Our relationship got bogged down. relationship这个词不必多说，是关系的意思. bog 1这个词虽简单却有些陌生。这个词作名词是沼泽的意思。所以bog down即为“陷入沼泽”。因此这句话就是我们的关系陷入僵局的意思。
After I forgot my girlfriend’s birthday, our relationship got bogged down for quite a long time. 我忘记了女友的生日后，我们的关系陷入了僵局好长时间。
How can it be like that？Don‘t make moutain out of smallhill！就因为一些无关紧要的细节就这样了? 别小题大做！）Misfortunes never come alone. 偏偏在这时候，Andy的公司里也出了问题。Failure in business makes the company bogged down financially.（生意场上的失败使公司的财政陷入困境。）

放下那些烦心事不提，来看下面的句子吧！You are burning your boat behind you. 如果你划船到了全新的地方, 而你又烧了自己的船（burn your boat），结果会怎么样呢？这样你就没有了退路, 即破釜沉舟的意思。
Andy曾经萌发跳槽的想法, 妈妈却说：“Think carefully before you leap. That means you‘ll burn your boat behind you. ”（想清楚了再做, 这意味着你没有了退路。）
可是随着考研大军的日益壮大，有些人不得不辞职考研。I must burn my boat behind me！Thus, I must succeed！Maybe this is the best way to stimulate 3 myself！（我必须破釜沉舟！这样我就一定要成功！也许这是最好的刺激自己的办法。）
