Nick: Hi everybody, this is Nick. Welcome to teaching 1 series "how do you say this in American English." Nick.

Brad
So Brad have you ever heart the Chinese phrase "走神" before?
  Nick: Brad? Hello?
Brad: Oh I'm sorry I wasn't following. I was thinking of my paper due tonight.
Nick: What? I thought you were listening. Were you zoning out?
  Brad: Yeah I'm sorry …daydreaming 2
Nick: Daydreaming? Are you saying that you were sleeping and having a dream?
Brad: Not quite. I was awake you can see my eyes were open.
  Nick: Yeah apparently 3.
Brad: I was just uh… just kinda had my head on my chin. My head on my chin oh my gosh. I couldn't speak English neither. I had my hand on my chin. Just kind of thinking about motorcycles. A long week. As you can tell, I can't speak English.
Nick: Yeah it's been a long week. You can't even speak English fluently.
Brad: You speak better than me. I was thinking about this weekend. I realized I was thinking for a short while. But I just started thinking about anther stuff 4.
Nick: Ok, so you weren't like zoning out. Oh you were! You were zoning out!
Brad:Yeah I was zoning out but in a way, while I was kinda thinking about this weekend. I was dreaming of this weekend but awake. Kinda like awake dreaming-if you don't understand daydreaming. You know I'm not…
Nick: You are not really dreaming, not at all.
Brad: No just imagination. The process is going on, like what you are talking about
  Nick: Ok, thank you.
So this is pretty much it for this time. I'll see you guys next time. Bye
  Brad: 再见
