Toast with jam is one of the things that Lucy settles 1 for for breakfast when she doesn't have time to make a hot breakfast. 没时间做顿热乎乎的早餐的时候，露西可能会拿果酱夹吐司凑合一下。

I have cereal almost every day for breakfast because I am not a good cook like Lucy, 我每天早上都吃麦片作早餐，因为我不像露西那样会做饭。
so if I did not eat cereal, I would not eat anything. 所以不吃麦片，我就没饭吃了。
Lucy says "it’s nice to start the day with a sit-down meal when I get the chance." 露西说“有机会的时候还是坐下来认真吃顿早饭比较好。”
