Charlotte, North Carolina stayed largely peaceful during a third night of protest. National Guard troops kept watch as demonstrators marched after a mid-night curfew took effect. The demonstrators eventually dispersed 1.


The Tulsa, Oklahoma police officer who shot and killed a black driver is charged with first degree manslaughter. Prosecutors 2 alleged 3 officer Betty Shelby reacted unreasonablly when she shot 40-year-old Terence Crutcher last Saturday.


3 people were found dead after a shooting inside a factory in eastern Tennessee. Police say it appears a man shot 2 people before killing 4 himself. All 3 were employees.


A second wildfire broke out on Vandenberg Air Force Base in California on Thursday. It forced some evacuations. A much bigger wildfire on the base is largely contained.
