Ukraine's interim 1 government is intensifying 2 efforts to regain 3 control of eastern regions, but that has yet to reach the city of Luhansk.
Though army planes flew over the city earlier this week, government forces have yet to move on the city. On Sunday, gun shots were heard on the streets, but locals denied there being any gunfights.
In a challenge to Kiev, a curfew has been put in place by anti-government protesters. This comes after protest leader Valeriy Bolotov declared a state of emergency on Saturday. Bolotov added that he would not negotiate with the government, and that he intended to "go on Kiev".
