The Chinese Embassy in Libya has confirmed the killing 1 of a Chinese engineer in Benghazi. The victim was an employee of a Chinese construction company.
He was abducted 2 from a work site along with two colleagues. The engineer was later found shot, and he died in hospital. The two colleagues were later released. The Embassy has lodged 3 a solemn representation with the Libyan side, urging an immediate 4 investigation 5 and measures to protect Chinese nationals in Lybia.
