Chinese Premier 1 Li Keqiang Li started his week-long tour after arriving in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa on Sunday, where he was greeted by Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn. It’s the first time Premier Li has visited Africa in his capacity as Chinese Premier and it’s also his first foreign visit this year.
For more, we are joined in the studio by Teng Jianqun. He's the director of the Center of Arms Control at the China Institute of International Studies.
Q1: Welcome, Mr Teng. Africa is Premier Li’s first overseas tour in 2014. What do you think is the timing 2 and significance of this visit?
Q2: Recent years have seen the prominent development of China-Africa ties. In which areas do you think the cooperation can be further promoted?
