"Where is Kansas?" asked the man, with surprise. “堪萨斯州是在哪儿？”男人惊奇地问。

"I don't know," replied Dorothy sorrowfully, "but it is my home, and I'm sure it's somewhere." “我也搞不清楚，”多萝茜悲伤地回答：“但是那是我的家乡，我相信它的存在。”
"Very likely. Well, Oz can do anything; so I suppose he will find Kansas for you. “可能吧。唔，奥芝做这个也不麻烦；我想他能为你找到堪萨斯州。
But first you must get to see him, and that will be a hard task; 然而你首先要看到他，那倒是最困难事情；
for the Great Wizard 1 does not like to see anyone, and he usually has his own way." 因为他不乐意会见任何人，他总有他自己的想法。”
"But what do you want?" he continued, speaking to Toto. 他对着托托继续问道：“但是，你又请求些什么呢？”

The woman now called to them that supper was ready, 现在妇人告诉他们，晚饭预备好了，
so they gathered around the table and Dorothy ate some delicious porridge and a dish of scrambled 3 eggs and a plate of nice white bread, and enjoyed her meal. 于是他们围坐在桌子旁，多萝茜快活地吃着燕麦粥，一碟子炒蛋和一盘精白面包。享受着自己的晚餐。
The Lion ate some of the porridge, but did not care for it, saying it was made from oats and oats were food for horses, not for lions. 狮子尝了一些燕麦粥，它皱了皱眉头说它并喜欢吃，说这是用雀麦做的，当然雀麦是马吃的而不是狮子吃的。

The woman now gave Dorothy a bed to sleep in, and Toto lay down beside her, 现在妇人给了多萝茜一张床睡觉，托托睡在她的旁边，
while the Lion guarded the door of her room so she might not be disturbed. 狮子便把守着她的房门口，这样她可以安然睡去。
The Scarecrow and the Tin Woodman stood up in a corner and kept quiet all night, although of course they could not sleep. 稻草人和铁皮人，整夜默默地待在一个角落里，因为他们是不睡觉的。
The next morning, as soon as the sun was up, they started on their way, 第二天一大早，太阳刚刚升起来，他们就上路了，
and soon saw a beautiful green glow 4 in the sky just before them. 不久，看见一道绿色的光，闪耀在他们前面的天空中。
"That must be the Emerald City." said Dorothy. 多萝茜说：“那想必是翡翠城了。”
