The sheets were made of blue cloth, and Dorothy slept soundly in them till morning, with Toto curled up on the blue rug beside her. 被单是蓝布做的，多萝茜就躺在这上面，一直酣睡到第二天，托托蜷伏在床下的蓝色的地毯上。

She bade her friends good-bye, and again started along the road of yellow brick. 她向朋友们告了别，便沿着黄砖铺砌的路出发了。
When she had gone several miles she thought she would stopped to rest, and so climbed to the top of the fence beside the road and sat down. 她赶了好几里路，实在是太累了，就爬到路旁边短墙的顶上坐下来。
There was a great cornfield beyond the fence and not far away she saw a Scarecrow, placed high on a pole to keep the birds from the ripe corn. 墙那边是一大块玉米田，她看见不远处有一个稻草人，高挂在竹竿上，看管着稻子，不让鸦雀啄走长得成熟的玉米。
Dorothy leaned her chin upon her hand and gazed thoughtfully at the Scarecrow. 多萝茜用手托着下巴，呆呆地凝视着稻草人。
Its head was a small sack stuffed with straw, with eyes, nose, and mouth painted on it to represent a face. 他的头是一个塞满稻草的小布袋，上面画着眼睛、鼻子和嘴巴，算是他的脸。
