广播学口语:最后一根稻草
嗨！大家好！欢迎做客Andy主持的广播学口语节目。今天Andy要接着给大家讲两个句子：It’s the straw 1 that broke 2 the camel 3’s back 和I’m tied up。让我们边学英语边学哲理, 在音乐中体会生活与世界。

先来看第一个句子吧！I‘m tied up.这个句子很简短。tie是捆的意思。 tie up就是捆起来的意思。为什么“我被捆起来”了呢？是绑架案吗？哈哈！Andy又没钱又没色，怎么会有人拿Andy作人质呢？其实绑Andy的不是绳索，而是一件又一件接连不断的事。所以这句话的意思就是”我忙死了”。
上个新年，Andy正忙的不可开交。妈妈打电话来问Andy要不要回家过年，Andy当时也许是神游了吧，竟用一种冷冷的口气说：“I’m sorry I can‘t go back I‘m tied up. I have no time to play and eat。I’m terribly 4 sorry.”（对不起 ，我不能去。我最近非常忙。我忙的没时间玩也没时间吃饭。对不起。）当电话那端传来妈妈的叹息声时，Andy才意识到自己竟忘了对方是爱自己的妈妈。有些人喜欢说“我太忙了”, 可是有时候这不过是个借口。不管你有多忙，都应花些时间和你的家人在一起。Don’t hurt the one you love. 别伤了你爱的人。

下面我们来看一个关于稻草的故事：It’s the straw that broke the camel‘s back。straw，稻草。camel是被喻为沙漠之舟的骆驼。所以这句话连起来就是“这是压断了骆驼后背的稻草”。
你知道吗？如果一匹骆驼的负重已经达到了极限，哪怕再多放一根小小的稻草都会压断了它的后背, 所以意思就是“致命的一击”。
有一段时间，Andy真的忙到了极点。可是女友又打电话来要去看电影，两人便吵了起来。 I’m tied up. But if she can undestand me I can continue 5 to be hard-working 6. She thinks that I have fogotten her, which is the straw that broke the camel‘s back.（我太忙了。可如果她能理解我，我还可以继续努力工作。她说我忘了她，这句话对于我来说如致命一击。）我唯一的精神支柱也倒了！If you love him or her ，just give him or her your support 7！Hope 8 you never be the straw that broke the camel‘s back.（如果你爱他，就给他最有力的支持！ 愿你永远不是他的最后一根稻草。
