Nima Enayati received the visa to conduct research at Stanford university but was prevented from boarding a Turkish airline flight to U.S last Monday, after a travel ban was put into place. The White House says it expects the court to reinstate Donald Trump's ban on refugees and travelers from seven dominantly 1 Muslim countries.
2. Romania's largest anti-government crowds since the violent 1989 revolution succeeded Sunday in pressuring the country's new government to repeal 2 a hastily adopted decree. The law will have eased penalties for official corruption 3.
3. Israel's prime minister welcomed changes in the U.S and British governments as presenting diplomatic opportunities. Benjamin Netanyahu also warned against Iran's nuclear ambition, and also urged both Britain and America to adopt the same tough stand as Israel.
4. Peruvian dancers in colorful masks and elaborate headdresses are celebrating the Virgin 4 of Candelaria, what's considered the largest Roman catholic festival in the region. The celebrations kickoff on the 8th of January and run through February, 7th.
